Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
